Cecelia was the second wife of Henry Schuckert and helped raise his children after his first wife died. They also had three children of their own. She lived in Dubuque most of her life. Cecelia was the daughter of Bernard and Margaret Lentz and lived on a farm in her early years with her parents and nine siblings near Ogden, Iowa. The family moved up to Chickasaw County when she was in her teenager years. Later on she moved to Dubuque to be a caretaker for the Schukert family before becoming the wife of Henry.
