Rev. Richard Rynn, pastor of the Presbyterian Church, officiated at the rites held Monday morning from the chapel of the Smith Funeral Home for Mrs. Herbert St. John, 79, who died Saturday morning in the Peterson Hospital. Interment was is the Garden of Memories. A native of Evansville, Ind., she came to Kerrville 12 years ago when Mr. St. John was retired from the Lone Star Gas Company, they had lived in Waxahachie, Temple and Corpus Christ! before coming to Kerrville. She was a well-educated and cultured woman and gave of her time as long as she was able to the various service organizations and in the Presbyterian Church, of which she was a member. The family home was on Westminster Street. Her survivors are her husband of the home address, four children, Mrs. E. Y. Allen of Austin, Richard St. John of Houston, Edward St. John of Sherman, and Henry St. John of Albuquerque, N. M.; and 17 grandchildren.
