Verna M. Heintzelman, 77, of 535 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, died Friday, June 15, 2007, at The Good Samaritan Hospital. She was the wife of Lamar C. Heintzelman to whom she was married 53 years on September 12.
Born in Mt. Aetna, Pa., on December 11, 1929, she was the daughter of the late John P. and Grace I. Auchenbach Troutman. She worked at Publix Shirt Co., Myerstown, for many years before working at Martin's Farm Market, Lebanon. She was a member of St. John's Church, Mt. Aetna, and enjoyed sewing and playing bingo.
In addition to her husband she is survived by son, Richard Heintzelman of Myerstown; sister, Clara Zimmerman of Lebanon; brother, Earnest, husband of Maryann Troutman of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Larry Heintzelman in 1989.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown. Viewing Thursday at 10 a.m. Interment at St. John's Church Cemetery, Mt. Aetna.
