OBIT: DETROIT NEWS HERALD 30 Jan 1930 from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: Rugby News: Mrs. Will Bailey died last Thursday morning at 10 o'clock and was buried Friday at Highland Cemetery west of Deport. Rev. Williams of Deport conducted the service. All her children were present except one daughter who lives in Mississippi., OBIT: DEPORT TIMES 31 Jan 1930, Friday, from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: Rugby News -- Mrs. W. D. Bailey, aged 59 years, died at he home here Thursday morning. Her death was caused from pneumonia which followed an illness of several months. Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at the home northeast of here by the Rev. D. C. Williams assisted by the Rev. S. M. Dunnam of Deport. Interment was at the Highland Cemetery at Deport. Rosa Read was born December 31, 1870, in Scott County, Miss., and was married to W. D. Bailey Jan. 7, 1891. Nine children were born to them six of whom, with her husband survive. They are A. R. Bailey, Mrs. Rozell Morgan and Mrs. Johnnie McLemore of Rugby, Mrs. Ritta McHam of Edinburg, W. M. Bailey of Chilton and Mrs. Zola King of Philadelphia, Miss. All were with her at the time of death with the exception of one daughter, Mrs. Zola King. Mrs. Bailey was a good, Christian woman, having joined the Baptist church in 1891. We extend our sympathy to her loved ones in their bereavement.
