Jennifer Michelle Erickson, 29, of Boone passed away at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames, Iowa on Friday morning, January 17, 2014.
She was born on July 24, 1984 in Ames, Iowa the daughter of Doran and Susan (Hansen) Erickson.
Jennifer graduated from Webster City High School in 2002 and from Iowa Central Community College in 2004 with a degree in Nursing. She was an oncology nurse with certification from the University of Iowa. Jennifer continued her nursing studies receiving a Bachelor Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix where she was currently studying for her Masters Degree in Nursing.
Jennifer was employed at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames for 7 ½ years on the oncology floor and for 1 ½ years was employed at the Boone County Hospital until health issued forced her from her nursing duties. She enjoyed shopping, doing word search puzzles and her beloved cats; Cooper, Tuxedo and Molly, who recently passed away.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Stratford.
Her grandmother, Margaret Erickson and grandfather, Gary Hansen preceded her in death.
Survivors include her mother Sue Henson and husband Danny of Boone, Iowa; father Doran Erickson and wife Donna of Stratford, Iowa; a sister Brianna Richardson and husband Justin of Kamrar, Iowa, grandfather Norman Erickson of Stratford, Iowa; grandmother Mary Hansen of Webster City, Iowa; 5 stepbrothers; 1 stepsister; aunts and uncles.
Interment will be in the South Marion Cemetery southeast of Stratford.
