Sandra May Saunders, 59, of Lynchburg died Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Harold R. Saunders.

Born in Lynchburg, September 20, 1953, she was a daughter of the late Cecil R. Saunders and Eva R. Saunders.

In addition to her husband, Sandra is survived by her children, Christopher Saunders and wife, Stacey, Tammy Saunders and Terry Wicker, Jennifer Tuck and Jerry Beaddles; sisters, Diane Mahaffey and husband, Bill, Deloris Peak and husband, Dennis, and Ellen Saunders; brothers, Stoney and Tim Saunders; grandchildren, Brandon and Blake Wicker, Kara, Kelsey, and Kalaeb Saunders, Michael Tuck, Dakota Beaddles; great-grandson, Carson Wood; great uncle, Frank Divers; great aunt, Jean Bowling; special friends, Steven Tuck, and Hanna Benjamin.

A memorial service will be held Friday, September 13, 2013 at 1.00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home conducted by the Rev. Gary L. Vernon. The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
