Robert E. Redmon, 78, of Sunman, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012 at Margaret Mary Community Hospital in Batesville, Indiana.

He was born April 9, 1934 in Versailles, Kentucky, a son to Stanley Redmon and Julia Jane Hall. Robert married Norma Peters in January, 1975 in Gaitlenburg, Tennessee, and she survives.

He was an Air Force Veteran, and worked as a machinist for Davey Compressors in Cincinnati, Ohio. Robert's favorite past-time was fishing.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 38 years, Norma Redmon; son, Tracy Redmon of Columbus, Georgia; daughters, Debbie (Charles) Dolson of Cantula, Georgia, and Joy (Charles) Henderson of Grand Prairie, Texas; 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters, Betty Martin of Batesville, Indiana, and Dorothy (Sam) Cohen of Williamsburg, Virginia, and brother, Ronald (Kathy) Redmon of Tucson, Arizona.

Besides his parents, Robert was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Redmon.

Visitation for Robert will be Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 11am -12pm, with funeral service at 12noon at Cook Funeral Home, 107 Vine Street, Sunman. Rev. Kelly Barnes will officiate the service. Burial will follow at Maple Gove Cemetery Veteran's Circle of Honor in Brookville, Indiana, with military honors performed by the American Legion Bernard Hurst Post #77.

Memorial donations may be directed to the family. Arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home, Sunman, Indiana.
