On January 21, 1961 in Chambers County Alabama, Rev. James and Inell Ramsey welcomed their 11th child, a baby girl and they named her Marilyn. She was the last girl.
Marilyn attended the Chamber's County School System and graduated from Maryland High School in Baltimore, Maryland.
At an early age, she joined the St. James Baptist Church in Lanett, Alabama and upon returning to the area, joined Springfield Baptist Church in Hogansville, Georgia. After serving for several years, she united with True Love Baptist Church where she served on the financial committee and hospitality committee. She was very active and fully committed to her church obligations and always willing to share her love for God and others.
In 1978, Marilyn married the love of her life and best friend, Michael Brock. To this union two beautiful daughters were born, Miranda and Melinda.
Marilyn was employed with Wal-Mart for over 25 years. She retired as Assistant Store Manager for Wal-Mart in LaGrange, GA.
On January 6, 2014, God saw she was getting a little weary. So he did what he knew best, he came and stood by her bedside and whispered "Come go home with me and rest".
