Arnold Everette Winslow, 74, of 615 Up River Road, died Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014 in his home. Mr. Winslow was born on March 19, 1939 in Perquimans County and was the son of the late Robert Elisha and Mary Pleasant Winslow. A retired farmer, he was a member of Up River Friends Meeting. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Frances Winslow. Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Nancy Lane Winslow; his son, Rob Winslow and wife, Lori, of Belvidere; his daughter, Dianne Darr and husband, Chuck, of Durham; his brother, Robert Morris Winslow and wife, Virginia, of Liberty; and two grandchildren, Anna Darr and Carter Winslow. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Up River Friends Meeting by Pastor Richard Wilcox. Burial will follow in the Up River Cemetery. Friends may join the family in the fellowship hall immediately following the church service, and all other times at the residence. Miller & Van Essendelft, Funeral and Cremation Providers, 1125 Harvey Point Road, Hertford, is assisting the family with arrangements.
