BRUCE KNOX, 80 died January 17, 2014 at Community Care, Inc in Clifton, KS. He was born on July 14, 1933 in Clay County, KS. The son of Carlos and Rose (Bowmaker) Knox.


Bruce was raised in Clifton and graduated from Clifton High School in 1951. He married Laurel Crawford on February 9, 1956. Bruce worked as a custom harvester and drove a gravel truck.


Laurel preceded him in death on September 20, 2000.


He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, served as President of USD 224 School Board and served on the Public Housing Board.


He is preceded in death by son, Troy Knox and daughter, Cindy Knox, two sisters, Georgia Barnes and Ima Teen Brown and his parents.

Brother: Darwin Knox, Clifton, KS

Brother: Ronny Knox, Edmond, OK

Sister: Shirley Marshall, Clifton, KS

Sister: Lana Carlson, Clay Center, KS

Sister: Rama Sorell, Winfield, KS

Daughter in Law: Tammy Knox, Minneapolis, KS


Funeral Services will be Monday, January 20, 2014 at 10:00AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Clifton, Kansas.


Officiating the service will be The Rev. Larry Letourneau. Burial will be in St. Marys Cemetery, Clifton, KS. Visitation will be from 2-4P.M Sunday, January 19, 2014 at the Turner Funeral Home. A Vigil service will be held at 4PM.


Memorials: Bruce Knox Memorial Fund to be designated later by the family and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
