DOVER Darlene M. Myers, 69, entered into rest Friday, January 17, 2014 at York Hospital. She was the wife of Russell E. Myers, Sr. for 50 years. Mrs. Myers was born July 16, 1944, in York, a daughter of the late Lewis F. and Dorothy M. (Baker) Rider. She had been previously employed at Hill's Department Store and McCrory's, and recently at Giant Foods. She was a 1962 graduate of William Tennent High School in Warminster, Pa. She was a devoted wife and mother. She loved spending time with family, and especially vacationing with her family in Ocean City, Md. Darlene is survived by her husband; brothers, Donald E. Rider and his wife Kathy, Denis D. Rider and his wife Terry; a sister, Lori J. Zanecosky and her husband Robert; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Russell E. "Rusty" Myers, Jr. A viewing will be 11 a.m. until 12 Noon Wednesday at The John W. Keffer Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc., 2114 W. Market St. The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon at the funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Ronald J. Oelrich officiating. Burial will be in Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. KefferFH.com
