Shirley was born Nov. 23, 1950 in Marsfield, Louisiana, to the parents of Henry Lee Lang and Lena Mae Canada Houston. She received her Education here in Los Angeles, Ca. attending Edison Jr. and Fremont High. Shirley was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt, Cousin, and Friend. We will all remember Shirley's legendary cooking and her love for kids and entertaining family and friends. Shirley had the type of personality that made you feel as if you knew her your whole life, she never met a stranger. On January 4, 2014, at Community Extended Care in Murrietta, California. Shirley made her transition from this earthly world to a world of rest and peace. Her Mother, Father, one brother, one sister, one grandson, and one son-in law all proceeded her in death. Her Love, Kindness and free spirit will live on in the hearts, minds, and souls of her daughters, Bolivia Thompson of (Murrietta, Ca.) and Eyvonne Parish (Husband-Kevin) of Moreno Valley, Ca.) She leaves to cherish Three- Sisters- Lois, Janice, and Romelda. Three brothers-Raymond Jr., Felton, and Stepbrother: Raymond Eugene(Bobby). Eight Grandchildren: Mishalae, Bruce, Daija, Emontae, (Wife Alexis), Kalae, Kamron, Kennedy, Kaniah and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and loving friends.
