Daughter of Arthur Desmond Thomson and Emma Frances Bloxham

Wife of Richard Calvert Bowman, 26 Dec 1951, Idaho Falls, Bonneville, Idaho

KAYSVILLE--Delene T. Bowman, 64, peacefully passed away March 16, 1996, due to complications from Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a rare palsy disorder.

She was born in Pocatello, Idaho, July 21, 1931, to Arthur Desmond Thomson and Emma Frances Bloxham and raised in Idaho Falls. Married Richard C. Bowman December 26, 1951, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.

Secretary of Bowman's Inc., mother of six children and grandmother of 24. Attended high school in Idaho Falls then BYU where she met her husband. She worked on her degree at Weber State later in life.

Served faithfully and effectively with love in all of the LDS Church auxiliaries and choirs throughout her life. A stake Relief Society president, a Beehive House hostess for 12 years, a mission with her husband in the heart of the restoration of the gospel at the Joseph Smith Farm Home in Manchester, New York, and as an ordinance worker in the Ogden LDS Temple were some of the highlights of her church service.

She taught her children to love the Lord, to serve others and to enjoy life as a family. She watched all six children be sealed in the temple, and instilled her love of music in her family by encouraging each child to learn to play the piano. She loved to read and follow the teachings of the Savior found in the Book of Mormon. She loved God, her family, music and many friends. She was filled with the pure love of Christ.

Survived by her husband and children, Valerie (Bill) Cook, Arthur Bowman, Natalie (Lynn) Ward of Kaysville; Richard (Shellie) Bowman, Plano, Texas; Merrilee (Rolfe) Andrus, Orem, Utah; Delia (Mike) Sagers, Las Vegas, Nevada; 23 grandchildren; brother, Kenneth Thomson, Ogden; sister, Cheryl Soelberg, American Fork; and several nieces and nephews.
