Arthur G. "Sonny" Harvey, Jr., 63, of Chippewa Lake, entered into rest January 18, 2014, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born February 11, 1950, in Lodi, Ohio to the late Arthur G., Sr. and Marie (Buttolph) Harvey. Sonny retired in 2005 after working 39 1/2 years for Medina County Sanitary Engineers. He coached baseball and softball for 34 years, coaching many of the same girls for 20 years. Sonny had a passion for cars. Especially his 1968 Roadrunner, which he enjoyed taking to Cruise In's and shows. Some of the best times of his life were watching his grandchildren play sports. He never missed a football practice or game of his grandson, Jared. Sonny will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Sue (Conley); children Matt and Megan; grandchildren Kayla, Jared, and Mya; many nieces and nephews; numerous friends including his good friend Bill.
He is preceded in death by his parents and four sisters.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Waite and Son Funeral Home, 765 N. Court St., Medina. Interment will follow at Mound Hill Cemetery in Seville. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
