Taylor Funeral Home of Louisville announces the death and funeral services of Mrs. Mildred Luckey Wilcher, age 92 of Louisville who died Friday morning October 7, 2022, in the Keysville Nursing Home.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday October 9, 2022, in the Louisville First Baptist church with Rev. Larry Montgomery and Rev. Jonathan Melchior officiating. Mildred will be laid to rest in the family lot in the Louisville City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike McDowell, Charles Mathis, John Mole, Ryan Ferris, Randall Gosen and Larry Stanley.

A native of Wrens, Mildred was the daughter of the late Clifford Calvin Luckey and Ada Belle Stapleton Luckey. She had worked for the Louisville Shirt Factory and Louisville Rexall Drug and was a homemaker and a long-time member of the Louisville First Baptist Church and the Philathea Sunday School Class.

Mrs. Wilcher was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James Edward Wilcher, brothers, Milo Pete Luckey and C.T. Luckey, son in-law, Lamar Baxley and is survived by daughters and son in-law, Jan & Jimmy Wren of Wrens, and Carol Baxley of Louisville, granddaughters, Leigh & Wayne Davis of Wrens, and Hillary Tiner of Woodstock, great grandchildren, Raven Davis, Trey Davis, and Olivia Tiner, several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you for the care given to Mildred by Keysville Nursing Home & Regency Hospice.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Saturday, October 8, at the funeral home.
