Dale Roger Huse, 74, of Vancouver, Washington, died Sunday, January 12, 2014. He was born to the late Robert and Doris Huse, March 15, 1939, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
Dale worked on the tug boats as a teen on the Columbia River. He then enlisted in the Army where he was an 82nd Airborne Screaming Eagle. He was also a firefighter in the Army and drove a 010 aircraft crash/rescue truck.
When Dale returned to Vancouver, he worked 47 1/2 years at Boise Cascade Paper Mill, and ran the pro shop at Hazel Dell Lanes for 10 years, both in Clark County, Washington.
Dale married the late Linda Huse (Musgrave) in 1959, and they were together until her untimely death in 2004.
Dale is survived by his brother, Gene; two children, Kelley Huse and Michelle Huse; his granddaughter, Emily Huse; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as extended family.
Burial was held on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at the Park Hill Cemetery in Vancouver, Washington.
The family is requesting that donations be made out to The American Cancer Society.
