Born Jan. 2, 1912, in Prairie City to Edward and Emma Serven Buchen, she married Verle Young on June 21, 1934, in Lewistown. He died Aug. 1, 1995.
She also was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Gordon (and Jane) of Roseville; one daughter, Karen Young-Parker (and Jim Parker) of Peoria, Ariz.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Marie Clayberg of Glendale, Ariz.
She and her husband farmed near Ellisville , where they raised Hampshire hogs and Shorthorn cattle.
She was a member of Prairie City Methodist Church.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Corman Memorial Home in Avon. The Rev. James Oliver will officiate. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Ellisville Cemetery.
