Jeannie was born in Casper, Wyoming on January 27, 1957 to Ivan DeLos Jensen and Jearldine Seyersdahl.
She married Richard Dee "Rick" Hardy on April 17, 1981 later solemnized their marriage in the Salt Lake Temple.
She had a deep love for family, both immediate and extended, and loved spending as much time possible with them. She loved nature and the outdoors and was happiest when she could smell the dew on the grass, watch the flowers bloom and listen to the birds.
Jeannie was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served in the church to the best of her abilities, including service in the Illinois Chicago mission from 1979-1980.
She was welcomed home by her dad, dad-in-law, and all of her grandparents. Jeannie has left behind her loving husband, Rick; five children: Nicole Cook (Charlotte Stevens), Duncan (May), Mathew, Crystal, and Amber Slaughter (David); five 8/9 grandchildren; her mother, Jearldine Hobbs; mom, Jean Jensen; mom-in-law, JoAnn; two brothers; two sisters; and three half-brothers.
Her infectious smile will be missed by all!!!
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Summerfield Ward Chapel, 3113 West 13400 South, Riverton, Utah. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday, January 22, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday one hour prior to the services.
Interment: Redwood Memorial Estates.
