In memory of Hester, wife
of Levinus Leversee Jn. and
daughter of Derick I. and
Rachel Vanderheyden, who
died Aug. 22, 1827, in the 30
year of her age.
Mourn not for me, though now you see
Me with you here no more,
But follow on to know the Son,
Till we do part no more.
Tis hard to part with you my mate,
But God gives the command.
My children dear, to leave them here,
Tis hard, far to withstand;
But when I see those pass that he
With Christ beyond the sky,
Then grief doth speak those joys forsake,
Prepare to mount on high.
