Mrs. Margie "Juanita" Burns, age 95, a resident of Rockwood, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at the Bridge at Rockwood.

She was born September 2, 1918 on Whites Creek in Rockwood, Tennessee to Elisha Bernard Holloway and Bessie Belle Treadway Holloway.

Mrs. Burns was the oldest and longest consecutive member of First Baptist Church in Rockwood where she was very active as long as she was able.

She was a retired knitter with Burlington Industries Hosiery Mill in Rockwood with many years of service.

Mrs. Burns was a kind and gentle person; was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend who enjoyed cooking for her family and her church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Nelson Burns; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Survivors include Children James R. Burns & wife, Tennga of Portage, MI Robert A. "Bob" Burns & wife, Sallie of Kingston, TN Glenda B. Johnson & husband, Jerry of Dickson, TN Grandchildren James Burns, Jr. Kathy Morris & husband, Terry Janene Evans Andrea Anderson & husband, Shannon Bryan Johnson & wife, Mendy Jennifer Brady 14 Great Grandchildren Sister Ruth "Holly" Bonetsky of Rockwood, TN And a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

The family will receive friends Monday, January 20, 2014 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary.

Funeral services will follow on Monday, January 20, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Evans Mortuary.

Graveside services and interment will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery in Rockwood. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church; P.O. Box 54; Rockwood, TN 37854.
