Patricia A. (Finn) Elkins, 78 of Liverpool passed away Friday at St. Joseph's Hospital Health Care Center. She was born in Massena, NY a daughter of the late John and Ida Finn. Patricia was raised and educated in St. Albans, Vt., where she resided until being married to Freddie E. Elkins in 1959. Together they lived in various states coming to the Syracuse area in 1965. Mrs. Elkins was employed by the US Government in Washington, DC as a secretary in the Immigration Department and then later with the US Customs Service. Patricia was a high school cheerleader who enjoyed dancing and playing the piano. She loved animals and sitting on her front porch watching people walk by. Patricia cherished her children and grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her sister, Joan Walker. Surviving is her husband, Freddie E. Elkins; son, Douglas J. (Camille) Elkins all of Liverpool; daughter, Karen Ann (Steven) Ferrara of Baldwinsville; five beloved grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 20, 2014 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners 3541 Rt. 31 Baldwinsville. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 21 Cherry Tree Circle Liverpool where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated. The Rite of Committal and burial will follow in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Baldwinsville.
