MANKATO - Mankato resident Virginia Boldt Schramm, 73, died Friday, Jul 19, 1996 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.

Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mankato, the Rev. Steve Berkeland and Rev. John Peterson officiating. Burial is in Woodland Hills Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today at Landkamer's Johnson-Boman Funeral Home, and one hour before services at the church.

Virginia was born Jan 7, 1923, to Edwin and Frances (Thielen) Abel in Shakopee, then moved to Mankato in the late 1930's with her family. They lived for one year in Cleveland. She married Albert Boldt on Oct. 14, 1940, in Iowa. Albert predeceased her in death on May 16, 1983. She then married Harold Schramm on Oct. 29, 1983. Harold preceded her in death on April 7, 1989. She had worked for several years for Shari Candies and the Mid-Tech companies. She was chapter queen and an active members of T.O.P.S. and a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. She enjoyed camping, rollerskating and fishing.

She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Judith Pasprig and Jerome of North Mankato and Linda Schramm and Harold of Kilkenny; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marion Jaross of Brooklyn, NY, Betty Haran and her husband John of Annindale, Vt., and Arlene James of Mankato; one brother and his wife, Fred Able and Susan of Plante City, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Marion Abel of Wright; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands and one brother.
