Born May 21, 1948 in Sandy, Utah to Otis L. and Edith Bennett Akers. Married Geri Jones on November 30, 1968 in Sandy, Utah. Worked for Harper Excavating for 18 years.

Survived by wife, Geri; son, Russ (Tiffany) Akers; daughter, Shana (Blake) Hickman; two granddaughters, Nicole and Alycia; mother, Edith Akers; sisters, Roberta Jones, Barbara Evans.

Funeral services Wednesday, February 19, 1992, 11 a.m. in the Goff Mortuary Chapel, 8090 So. State, where friends may call Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to the services.

Interment, Larkin Sunset Gardens.
