CADIZ, Ky.--Services for Emma Gibbs Francis, 77, of Cadiz will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Arrice Taylor will officiate. Burial will be in Joiner Chapel Cemetery in Trigg County.
She died at 1:25 p.m. Saturday at Shady Lawn Nursing Home in Cadiz.
Mrs. Francis was employed in a clothing factory in Hopkinsville for several years. She also was a former Girl Scout troop leader and a volunteer for the Salvation Army.
She was a member of Pugh Flat Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school.
Surviving are her husband, Dorris Francis; her brother, Jeff Gibbs of Cadiz; her sister, Gracie Merle Samsil of Hopkinsville; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters. Her parents were Benjamin and Hattie Frizell Gibbs.
