Lorraine C. Hiller, age 83 of Johnsburg passed away on Thursday January 16, 2014 at her home.
Lorraine was born on May 27, 1930 to George and Anna (Freund) Huff.
She married Norbert J. Hiller on August 17, 1949 at St. Peter 's Church in Spring Grove.
Before she became a wife and mother, Lorraine worked at Admiral in McHenry, and later she farmed with her husband in Johnsburg until they retired.
Lorraine spent many winters in Arizona and enjoyed garage sales, golf, playing cards with her card club and spending time with family and friends.
She was a member of St. John the Baptist Church.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Diane (Dennis) Calhoun, Jackie (Robert) Gifford, Linda (Gregory) Giannini and Ron (Sandra) Hiller all of Johnsburg; also her grandchildren, Ken (Joy) Calhoun, Shawn (Julie) Calhoun, Anthony (Tanya) Giannini, William (fianc? Sarah) Giannini, Cassandra (Eric) Torstenson, Kevin (Erin) Hiller, Ryan (Briana) Hiller; and great-grandchildren, Andrew, Mathew, Jacob, Joseph and Daniel Calhoun; Keegan McKinney; Shaun Walker; Jackson and Anders Torstenson; Kayla and Landon Hiller; Blake, Rylee and Bryce Hiller; her sister Elaine ( Richard) Graf; brother-in-law Rich (Arlene) Jacobson; and caregiver, companion and friend Lacey Garman.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert; brothers, Mervin and Lewis Huff; and sister, Jeanette Jacobson.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 19, 2014 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, at Colonial Funeral Home & Crematory 591 Ridgeview Dr. McHenry. Family and friends may meet Monday January 20, 2014 at 9:45AM at St. John the Baptist Church, 2302 W. Church St. Johnsburg IL for Mass at 10:00AM. Interment will be in the church cemetery.
