Billy Frank Griffith, 78, passed away January 16, 2014. Born June 14, 1935 to Charlie and Nellie Jeffcoat Griffith, he lived in Zavalla for many years.

He was preceded in death by:

* his daughter Gale Yates
* his sons Rick, Carl and Scott
* grandsons Zackary Hitchcock & John Ramsey
* brother Johnnie Griffith
* sisters Lucy Griffith, Judy Touchette, Cleatha Hare and Bertni Willis

Billy is survived by:
* his wife Portland Griffith
* children, D'Juana and Jimmy Tomlin, Abbie and Billy Simmons, Joan and Will Ferguson, Tina and Mark Schick, Cindy and Joel Hitchcock and Frank Barnes
* brothers Jack Griffith, Sam Griffith and M. R. Griffith
* sisters Willie Mae Gilson & Charlie Nell Hancock
* sisters-in-law, Dianne Creekmore, Bonnie Cone and Deborah Rollins
* brothers-in-law, Steve James and Joe James
* 23 grandchildren
* 15 great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held at Riley Funeral Home with burial to follow at Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger.
