Per article in "Okmulgee Times", he was admitted to the bar the year he moved to Muskogee. He was appointed U.S. District Attorney for Eastern Dist. of OK. in 1912. He had a Federal appointment as Probate Atty. for Creek Nation from 1914-1918. He was a 32 degree Mason at Holdenville, Indian Terr.
