John David Galbraith, Jr. (Jack) died suddenly of natural causes on January 13, 2014, in Tucson, Arizona.
Jack was born on November 11, 1940, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Jack was 73 years old.
Jack was predeceased by his wife, Si Thi (Miss Si).
Jack is survived by his son, John David Galbraith III; brother, Vince; and sister, Theresa.
Jack was a natural-born leader. Jack graduated from St. John Fisher College in Rochester, New York, where he was an outstanding athlete, captain of the basketball team, and ran cross country.
Jack was proud of his military service in the United States Army. Jack was a Captain and served as an infantry rifle platoon leader in Vietnam. Jack was wounded in combat and was awarded the Purple Heart, Vietnam Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star and 1 Silver Service Star, and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Jack was also very proud of his work in Alcoholics Anonymous. Jack sponsored many AA members and helped them on their road to recovery.
