Lodian dies in holiday accident
The closest fatal accident to Lodi occurred Saturday night at 11:30 p.m.
when Patrick Purdy, 37, was walking across Eight Mile Road near the
Southern Pacific railroad tracks. The resident of 2851 E. Eight Mile Road
was struck by a car driven by Robert Olney, 45, of Stockton. Purdy was dead
on arrival at Lodi Memorial Hospital. Olney has not been cited in the accident.
