Funeral service for Harry M. Brown, 80, will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Harper-Ridgeview Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Fred Jewell and members of the Eagles Lodge officiating. Mr. Brown died Tuesday, October 21, 1986, in Port Angeles. Cremation will be at Mount Angeles Crematory.

He was born February 16, 1906, in Forsyth, Mo., to Samuel LeRoy and Mary Elizabeth Liebhart Brown. He moved to Port Angeles in 1923 from Branson, Mo., and had worked as a logger, on a tugboat and owned the Elwha Gardens nursery. He owned the Chicamin Stick Tree Farm for more than 40 years. Mr. Brown was a member of the Clallam County Gem and Mineral Society, Eagles Lodge, Washington Tree Farm Association and Modern Woodmen of America. He enjoyed target shooting and had worked with the Eagles Junior Rifle Club.

On June 4, 1937, he married Lucie Porter in Shelton. She survives in Port Angeles.

Also surviving are a daughter, Toni, of Burlington; two granddaughters, Julie of Monroe, and Holly of Mukilteo, who made their home with him after the death of their father.

A son, Bill, and wife, Sharon, died in 1974.

Memorials are suggested to the Eagles Heart Fund, to the Gem and Mineral Society Scholarship Fund, or a tree may be planted in his memory.
