Garland Watson, Deputy Sheriff of Bienville Parish, died late Friday afternoon at the L.O.P. reservation hospital as a result of injuries sustained when his automobile and a truck collided on the Shreveport-Minden highway near the shell plant December 29, 1958.
Funeral services were conducted in Arcadia Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock with Rev. H. M. Johnson of Monroe, and formerly of Arcadia, officiating.
Mr. Watson is survived by his wife, Mrs. Minnie Jordan Watson; two daughters, Martha Ann and Mary Virginia, and two sons James and Lon Watson.
