BOSSIER CITY – Funeral services for Jack W. Bridges, 82, will be conducted at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 18, 2002 at the Hill Crest Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tom Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Hill Crest Memorial Park with full military honors.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m., Tuesday, September 17, 2002 at Hill Crest Funeral Home.
Mr. Bridges entered into rest Sept. 14, 2002 in Shreveport after a lengthy illness. He was a retired Captain with the U.S. Air Force, and a resident of Bossier City since 1959.
Jack was well known in Masonry and held top positions in the Blue Lodge, York Rite, Scottish Rite, Shrine, Eastern Star, Sojourners, High Twelve, White Shrine, Demolay, and Jobes Daughters.
Survivors include his wife, Olivia G. Bridges; sons, Jack W. Bridges, Jr. of Bossier City, LA; David Bridges of Abilene, TX; daughter, Sheridan Bridges Bertinot of Bossier City, LA; sister, Nell Calhoun and husband Lynn of Marshall, TX; brothers, Sam Bridges and wife Doris of Saraland, AL; Charlie Bridges and wife Joyce of Shreveport, LA; Kenneth Bridges and wife Millicent of Monroe, LA; uncle, Lem Bridges and wife Marie of Monroe, LA; and a grandson, Jackie Bridges.
Pallbearers will be Don Bordelon, Warren Hoffman, Jim Steadman, Charles England, Gene Musgrave, George Gray, Charlie Shearer, and Mike Lee.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Hap Arnold Masonic Lodge.
