Mrs. Eva Mae Dean was born March 13, 1937 in Tunnel Spring, Alabama, and was a graduate of the Old Booker T Washington High School and attended Pensacola Junior College, where she received her Register Nurse Degree and worked at Baptist Hospital for 33 years as a nurse. She was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church, where she served faithfully before her husband was called to pastor Friendly Baptist Church. She loved to sing and had a beautiful voice that is already prepared to sing in the Heavenly choir. She was the First elect lady of the Friendly Baptist Church, where she served and used her gifts that God had given her alone with her meek and gentle spirit.

She leaves to cherish her memories a loving an very devoted husband of 23 years, Pastor Rochester Dean; sons, Minister Robert (Mary) Womack of Austin, Texas, and Joshua Dean of Atlanta, Georgia; daughters, Michelle L. Womack, Patricia Womack of Pensacola, Florida, Sherrilyn Dean of Malbora, Maryland, Anchanter Weatherspoon of Pensacola, Florida; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, sisters, brothers, a host of sisters-in-law, brothers-in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Viewing will be held at 12pm-9pm on Friday, January 17, 2014, at Joe Morris and Son Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Macedonia Baptist Church with Reverend A.L. Durant officiating.
