GARY DOTSON, 66, of Benton, Kentucky went home to be with his Lord and Savior at 8:10AM Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family.

Gary was a true family man, and totally dedicated to them. When he retired from Air Products, he had business cards printed with the title "grandparent." He and Margaret loved being able to travel, and do things with and for their seven grandchildren. They traveled in and out of the United States. On their trip to the Holy Land they were able to walk where Jesus walked, and be baptized in the river of Jordan. Gary was also a dedicated member of Southland Baptist Temple, where he was involved with the children's ministry, served as an usher, volunteered at the Southland Ranch and worked as part of the church security detail. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a member of T.L. Jefferson Masonic Lodge #622.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret McFarland Dotson of Benton, KY; three sons, Bryan Dotson of Benton, KY, Scott Dotson and his wife Natalie of Cincinnati, OH and Marty Marshall of Gilbertsville, KY; one daughter, Melesia Marshall of Calvert City, KY; seven grandchildren, Evan Dotson, Cale Dotson, Lane Dotson, Kendall Dotson, Foster Dotson, Carly Barrett and Whitney Barrett; one brother, Bobby Dotson of Spartanburg, SC; and two sisters, Patricia Bradford of Paducah, KY and Nancy Duren of Benton, KY.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Inman. His parents were Loman Bryan Dotson and Cindy Byars Dotson.
