Bertha Jane Lombard, of
Portland Road, died this morning at the
home of her son, John Lombard,
following a brief illness.
She was born in Newcastle, N.B., Nov.
17, 1891, daughter of John and Jane
Holmes Crocker, and attended New
Brunswick schools. She was a graduate
of Harkins Academy, Newcastle.
Mrs. Lombard came to the Saco area
in 1920 from Canada. She attended First
Parish Congregational, United Church of
Christ.
Her husband was the late Everett E.
Lombard.
She is survived by a son, John E.
Lombard of Saco; a grandchild; and
two great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m., at
the Dennett and Craig Funeral Home,
365 Main St., with the Rev. Burton Howe
of the United Baptist Church of Saco
officiating. Interment will bein Laurel
Hill Cemetery.
