Christopher Benson, age 23, of Alpharetta died Sunday November 13, 2005 from injuries suffered while off-roading with his college friends in Auburn, AL. Christopher was an Atlanta native and a 2001 graduate of Centennial High School in Alpharetta, where he was a member of the marching Band. Active with Habitat for Humanity, he was currently a senior at Auburn University and was looking forward to graduating in December. Christopher enjoyed fishing, woodworking, blue-grass music and off-roading in his bright red Ford pickup truck.

He is survived by his mother Deborah Reeves Benson and father Henry B. Benson, Jr., DDS, brother Matthew B. Benson, grandmother, Christine P. Reeves and was preceded in death by his grandparents, Waymon Reeves and Tamara and H. Bagley Benson, M.D.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 16, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel. Canon George Maxwell officiating. Entombment Arlington Memorial Park. Memorial contributions may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 519 Memorial Drive SE, Atlanta, GA or Atlanta Humane Society, 981 Howell Mill Rd., Atlanta, GA 30318. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Sandy Springs Chapel Funeral Directors, 136 Mt. Vernon Hwy. Sandy Springs, GA 30328 404-255-8511.
