Leslie Howard Kennedy, 76, passed away at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA on Tuesday, June 14, 2011. He was born on October 12, 1934 in Olympia, WA to Howard M. and Lora B. (Underwood) Kennedy. On December 31, 1965 he married Karlee in Tumwater, WA. Leslie was in laws enforcement from 1958 until his retirement in 1995. He worked in Los Angeles, with the Mason County Sheriff Dept, he was the last police chief in North Bend, was the police chief in Aberdeen and Cosmopolis, and worked for the State of Washington Department of correction in Shelton and McNeill Island. Leslie was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing, wood carving, traveling to Palm Springs, CA. He was preceded in death by his father Howard and is survived by his wife, Karlee Kennedy of Rainier, WA; two sons; one daughter; one brother; one sister; his mother, Lora Kennedy of Lacey, WA; and seven grandchildren. .
