Michael J. Brand, age 50, of Money Creek, MN, died Thursday, July 10, 2008, at his home.
Michael John was born March 19, 1958, in Rochester, MN, to John and Marlene (Johnston) Brand. He graduated from Lewiston High School in 1976. He married Nancy Dailey and she preceded him in death. He later married Helen Wood.
Michael was employed at Midwest Metals, Winona, as a pattern maker and in January 2008 he received the International Pattern Makers Award. He also spent many hours on his farm and was a master carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and competition fishing and was an avid Green Bay Packer fan.
He is survived by his wife,four sons,two grandchildren, his mother, his sister, and uncle. He is also survived by Nancy's brothers and sisters.
He was preceded in death by his father, wife, Nancy (Dailey) Brand, niece, Tiffany Dailey Speltz and nephew, Adam Dailey.
Funeral services for Michael were July, 14, 2008, at Fawcett-Junker Funeral Home, Winona, with Rev. Kathleen Zielinski, officiating. Interment was at Lewiston Public Cemetery, Lewiston, MN.
