Following graduation, she attended the University of Iowa, and graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in Nursing in 1951. On December 30th, 1950 she married George S. She worked as a nurse in Duluth, MN for a year while George completed his Medical Internship. During George's Residency training in Iowa City, Kathy worked as a Head Nurse of Obstetrics at The University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City until the birth of her first child in September, 1954.

Kathy spent her life as a devoted caregiver. She dedicated her nursing career to those in need, and later cared for her mother and her husband. Her gracious heart carried over to her most important roles in life as a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She lovingly raised four children and watched her family grow to include eleven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Her family was her greatest joy.

Trinity Episcopal Church, Iowa City, Iowa always held a special place in her heart and she will always be remembered for her many contributions to the Alter Guild for which she served as Directoress and member for many years.

Kathy is survived by her four children, Kathryn A. Moscrip (Karl) of Marion, Iowa; Michael S. Anderson (JoDee) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Susan A. Noble (Jeffrey) of Akron, Ohio; and Steven C.
