She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Brooks; two daughters, Cynthia Brooks and Barbara Stinson.
She leaves behind three sisters, Ann Rainy, Evelyn Moore, Pearl Brents; one brother, Lamon Raborn; two children, Shirley Barrett and Larry Brooks; five grandchildren, Tony Brooks, Sr., Chris Brooks, Jimmy Wallace, Tina Barrett, John Barrett; ten great-grandchildren, Tony Brooks, Jr., Jessica Brooks, Suzanne Carter-Brooks, Caige Brooks, Kaytlin Wallace, Chrystal Wallace, Joshua Carter, Brianna Carter, Cheyenne Goodwin Barrett, Taylor Barrett; two great-great-grandchildren, Mason Moring and David Pruitt.
She was loved by her family and will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held at Leak-Memory Chapel on January 15, 2014, 5-7 p.m. Chapel services will be held at 1:15 p.m. at South Butler Cemetery in McKenzie, Alabama where she will be laid to rest.
