Bernie Lionel Green, 81, formerly of the 700 block of Kings Grant Court, and a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, died late Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005. Bernie was a career naval officer of 30 years and a World War II and Vietnam veteran. He is survived by two sons, Dennis James Green of Virginia Beach and Bernie Paul Green of Memphis, Tenn.; a daughter, Gail Green Linder of Atlanta, Ga.; two grandchildren, J. Michael Linder of Georgia and Michelle A. Linder of North Carolina; a great-granddaughter, Kayleigh Ann Linder of Georgia; a brother, Delton Green of Texas; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Rosewood Kellum Funeral Home. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. Nicholas Catholic Church by Monsignor Raymond Barton. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Park.
