Sherry L. Perkins, a resident of Berryville, Arkansas, was born January 7, 1965 in Skiatook, OK, the daughter of Eddie Allen and Alice Emily (Lynch) Griggs. She departed this life Tuesday, January 14, 2014 in Berryville, AR, at the age of 49 years.
She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and attended the Cowboy Church in Green Forest. She truly enjoyed her work with the students and blessed them with her presence. Most of all, she cherished the moments she spent with her family. They meant so much to her.
On July 8, 1989 she was united in marriage with Monte Glenn Perkins who survives her of the home. She is also survived by two daughters, Angela & her husband Thomas Peterson of Berryville, AR; Emily Perkins of Berryville, AR. Two grandsons, Theodore & David Peterson, two sisters, Christine & husband Lonnie Bearden of Skiatook, OK; Mary Finch of Hominy, OK; one brother, Henry & wife Denise Griggs of Berryville, AR; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eddie & Alice Griggs, two infant siblings, and one niece.
Visitation will be 5 until 8:00 P.M., Thursday, January 16, 2014 at the Charles M. Nelson Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be 3:00 P.M. Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Rudd Baptist Church with Rev. Samuel Boyd officiating. Interment will follow at the Gobbler Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
