"HAZELHURST, Ga. - Mrs. Dorothy M. Smith, 82, of Hazelhurst, died at home Thursday. Mrs. Smith was born in Schenectady. She was employed as a senior clerk for the state of New York for more than 25 years before her retirement. Mrs. Smith was past president of the Gold Star Mothers in Albany. Survivors include three daughters, Marcia Vanderbilt and Judy Blum, both of Schenectady, and Suzanne Sinkevich of Hazelhurst; three sons, Donald Smith of Hopewell Junction, William Smith of Albany and Cholly Smith of Halfmoon; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Memory's Garden, Colonie. Arrangements are by the Frederick Funeral Home, 16 Manning Square, Albany."
