Mrs. Marie S. Bennett, 84, Matney Westside Manor, 1414 Casselman St., died Saturday at the nursing home after a long illness.
Graveside services will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at Graceland Park Cemetery under direction of the W. Harry Christy Funeral Home in Morningside. The Rev. Marvin Suhr will officiate.
Mrs. Bennett, the former Marie Woehrle, was born Nov. 15, 1895, at Elwood, Neb. She attended school at Elwood.
She married Bert Bennett Nov. 10, 1925, in Dakota City. He died Feb. 26, 1934, in Sioux City. She was employed as a cook at Green Gables and the Normandy.
She was of the Methodist Faith.
Survivors include one brother, Fred of Lexington, Neb. and one sister, Anna Miller of Kimball, Neb.
