Actor. Born in Tucson, Arizona, he was an up-and-coming cowboy star of the silent film era. He made his first full-length movie appearance in "Men in the Raw" (1923). He became most notable for being shot and killed by his wife Sarah, at a party at their home in Hollywood, California. The news was AP front page headlines all the way from Hollywood to New York City. According to the police report, Kerrick was drunk on gin and getting too friendly with other women at the party. His wife Sarah, who became jealous, borrowed a pistol from a party guest and shot him. Within a month a jury at the trial convicted Sarah Kerrick and four others at the party of manslaughter.
