She was a retired nurse and a member of Trinity Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star, UMU, State Nurses Association.
She leaves her daughter, Barbara E. Cook of Senatobia; sons, Rev. Wayne Elliott of Thibodaux, La., Rick L. Elliott of Hernando, Reid Elliott of Nesbit, Jay M. Elliott of Sledge; sisters, Helen Edington Pittman of Ga., Rebecca Edington Pope of Georgia; brothers, Hal Edington of Clarksdale, Dennis Edington of Cleveland; 11 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Hall Elliott; sister, May Edington Balenchia; brothers, Charles Edington, Walter Edington, and William Edington; and her parents, Buck and Hazel Edington.
