Earl Leo Paul was born September 17, 1930 in Ada, Oklahoma to Ellis Lacy Paul and Jossie Belle Walden. He died January 15, 2014 in Minden, Webster Parish, Louisiana.

Earl married Patsy Ruth Wilson Keener, June 4, 1963 in Elizabethtown,Kentucky. He was serving in the military at the time.

HEFLIN - Funeral services for Earl Leo Paul, Sr., 83, of Heflin, Louisiana will be held Saturday, January 18, 2014 at 2:00 PM in Bistineau Baptist Church in Heflin, Louisiana under the direction of Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold. Officiating will be Bro. Wayne Reeves and Bro. Mike Welch. Burial will follow in Bistineau Cemetery in Heflin, Louisiana. Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Rockett Funeral Home in Ringgold, Louisiana.

Mr. Paul was a member of Bistineau Baptist Church. He was a United States Army Veteran serving in the Korean Conflict and Vietman War.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Paul; parents, Ellis and Belle Paul; sister, Nona Faye Franklin and her husband, Kenneth; and one daughter, Tammy Paul. Left to cherish his memory is his sons, James Keener and wife, Diane of Heflin, Louisiana, David Keener and wife Shelia of Heflin, Louisiana, and Earl "Butch" Paul, Jr. of Heflin, Louisiana; daughter Vickie Stidham of Norman, Oklahoma; ten grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be Chris Smith, Tim Boyet, Steven Hulion, Brian Hulion, Kohler Hulion and Christian Hulion. Honorary pallbearers will be Marvin Coleman, Bobby Hulion, Bobby Wayne Pate and Jimmy Ray Morrow.
