Cochran – Laurie M. Jones, age 69, died Tuesday in Pine Pointe Hospice in Macon. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 A.M. at Lakeview Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Jones was born and lived most of his life in Bleckley County. He was the son of the late Hudson and Bertie Bowman Jones. He was retired from Robins Air Force Base and contractor for Karna, LLC. Laurie enjoyed making Mule Brand Cane Syrup, farming and gardening. He was a volunteer for Bold Mission Builders and a member and deacon of Lakeview Baptist Church.
The family is at 125 Hudson Jones Rd. and will greet friends from 7:00 until 9:00 P.M. Thursday at Mathis Funeral Home.
