LEVI LAMB DIES AT 91
VERNON -- Levi D. Lamb, 91, Seneca Turnpike, died Tuesday afternoon in a Rome Hospital. He was born in Mc Donough, N.Y. June 16, 1871, son of Albertus and Elizabeth Crandall Lamb.
He was married to Isabel B. Cagwin, February 6, 1895. Mrs. Lamb died July 8, 1952. He had been a resident of Vernon and vicinity for the past 59 years and was a carpenter before his retirement. He was a member of the carpenter's union.
Surviving are a son, Carlton C. Lamb, Rochester, three daughters, Mrs. Sadie Ringham, (illegible could be Verona or Vernon), Mrs. Edward (Marjorie) Mantor, Pratts Hollow; and Mrs. (illegible) (Goldie) Day, Messengers Bay, six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at the Alger Funeral Home, Vernon Friday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Floyd Gotjen, pastor of the Vernon Methodist Church, officiating. Friends are invited and may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Interment in Verona Cemetery.
