Kathryn Rose May, 61, of Copperas Cove, died Tuesday, Jan 14, 2014, in Copperas Cove. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014, in Smith Cemetery in Kempner. There will be no visitation.
Kathryn was born in Lampasas, Texas, to Odus D. and Marcelene May. Kathryn grew up in Copperas Cove graduating in 1970 from Copperas Cove High School. She worked several places in Texas as a prison guard. She also worked at Wal Mart in Copperas Cove for a number of years.
Survivors include her father, Odus May, of Copperas Cove; sisters: Janice Terry and husband, Robert, of Kempner, Martha Spicer and husband, Bobby, of Lampasas, Nan Bales and husband, James, of Harker Heights, and Jan Doyle and husband, Chris, of Copperas Cove; brother, James May and wife, Kay, of Copperas Cove; eleven nieces and nephews; other relatives and numerous friends.
